Every year- people, organisations and nations come together on 30th July to celebrate World Friendship Day. A day to celebrate unity, camaraderie and partnership – three things that everyone can benefit from in an often disconnected world.
Of World Friendship Day, the United Nations says: “Through friendship — by accumulating bonds of camaraderie and developing strong ties of trust — we can contribute to the fundamental shifts that are urgently needed to achieve lasting stability, weave a safety net that will protect us all, and generate passion for a better world where all are united for the greater good.”

Good friendships bring so many positives, and they play a major factor in our mental health and wellbeing, as well as physical health too.
A 2016 study carried out by American sociologist Claire Yang, from the University of North Carolina found that those with stronger social connections had lower blood pressure, BMI and waist circumference than people who were isolated without a close social circle.
So friendship really is good for our health!
A healthy friendship is something that Kinetik Wellbeing is proud to share with our partners St John Ambulance, the nation’s leading first aid charity. We share a passion for delivering health in the home, and every sale of a Kinetik device leads to a contribution towards their life-saving work. That is certainly something to celebrate!
Kinetik Wellbeing and St John Ambulance work together on many projects to help highlight the importance of good health in the home. Earlier this year we joined our partners at the London Marathon Running Expo ahead of the Virgin Money London Marathon to offer free blood pressure checks alongside their team who gave life-saving first aid demonstrations.

We’ll leave you with this quote about the importance of good friends:
“Be with those who bring out the best in you, not the stress in you.” – Unknown
