Kinetik Wellbeing believes that everyone should have access to technology that supports their health and wellbeing without having to spend a small fortune.

If you suffer with a chronic illness you may be able to claim VAT relief on some of our products which can help you manage your condition.

We recently launched two new ranges of products in Diabetes care and Respiratory therapy.  Diabetes and chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD are classed as chronic illnesses and as a sufferer you may be eligible for VAT exemption on these ranges.

Am I eligible for VAT Exemption?

According to the official government website www.gov.uk if you are disabled or you have a long-term illness, you don’t have to pay VAT on products that help you manage or treat your condition. If the product and your disability or condition qualify then you will be eligible, and as your supplier Kinetik can help you complete the process.

To get your product VAT free, you need to fall into one of the following categories:

  • you have a physical or mental impairment that affects your ability to carry out everyday activities, for example blindness
  • you have a condition that’s treated as chronic sickness, like diabetes
  • you’re terminally ill

You don’t qualify if you’re elderly but able-bodied, or if you’re temporarily disabled.

How can I claim VAT relief on Kinetik products?

The process is simple! You will need to confirm in writing that you meet the conditions set out above. As your supplier, we can provide you with a form to do this – download a copy here. Simply download and complete the second page of the form before returning it to us, we will then issue you with a discount code to use when you make your purchase from our website – VAT FREE!

We will retain a copy of your form to present to our VAT officer when required. You don’t need to provide anything other than your full name, contact address and details of your disability or chronic illness.
