Our Which? Best Buy awards

We are very excited that in recent months we’ve been awarded two Which? Best Buy awards!

Our Ear and Forehead Thermometer & Pulse Oximeter were selected without our knowledge to be tested by the independent adjudicator ‘Which?’. It’s no surprise to us that these two devices impressed the Which? experts and we’ve now got market recognition that these products really are some of the best on the market, or as they put it “One of the best”.

Ear and Forehead Thermometer a Which? Best Buy

Without giving too much away, (you’ll have to head over to Which.com for the full review) the Ear and Forehead Thermometer impressed the experts at Which? with quotes like “This thermometer is a pleasure to use”.

This is because we designed the Ear and Forehead thermometer to not only look sleek in design but also be very practical to use. “We were not only impressed with the accuracy of our devices readings but also with the thought that went into some of the more practical elements when using the device on a daily basis.”

For example, we made sure to include a silent mode in the device so when taking a measurement from a sleeping baby they wouldn’t be woken up.

We also made sure that the Thermometer is easy to hold and comfortable to use over and over again, even when using the inner ear feature.

The device achieved more pros for the clear and easy to read display as well as the traffic light system which “Takes the hassle out of understanding temperature readings”.

We’re very pleased to have made a device which will set new standards in an ever-evolving industry.

Finger Pulse Oximeter (PO6L) a Which? Best Buy

Our PO6L finger pulse oximeter also won a Which? Best Buy. Their experts say ”It passed our accuracy tests with flying colours”.

If you didn’t know a pulse oximeter can quickly measure how much oxygen is in your blood without extracting any blood. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic they have become a must have device to have in your home.

The measurements are obtained by simply shining two wavelengths of light (one is a visible red beam, the other an invisible infrared beam) from LED emitters set inside the device at one side of the fingertip.

By measuring how much light has passed through the fingertip and thus deducing how much has been absorbed by the oxygen in the blood, oxygen saturation or “sats” reading is established and displayed on the built-in screen as a percentage of the maximum amount of oxygen the blood could carry. To find out more on this topic check out our blog on ‘What is a normal blood oxygen level‘.

Medical professionals often use pulse oximeters in critical care settings like emergency rooms or hospitals. Some doctors, such as pulmonologists, may use them in office settings. They can also be used very easily on the go or at home.

Sp02 is the fancy name for ‘Blood Oxygen levels’, these measurements are used to detect:

This device can be used to detect life-threatening diseases, therefore it is vital that we built a device that is accurate, reliable and trusted by medical professionals.

Again we can’t give too much away about the review, but we can say that we built a product designed to be fast, comfortable, easy to use and most importantly very accurate.
